Our students enjoyed the „beer game“ exercise and learned about the dynamics of supply chains in a very intuitive way. I applied the software in the context of a class on participatory modelling to demonstrate how a simulation game can help to learn about general dynamics of systems. The beer game was very helpful to demonstrate the effects of stock-and-flow structures and limited information. I fully recommend the application of the software for university-level education. Thanks Kai for offering this software and your support! Best, Johannes
Thank you very much. I will use the table version of the game. Before I have to traduce this to spanish because I work in an Argentinian University. After i traduce the materials, i´ll send this to you. Thank you very much, excellent resource.
Thank you very much for providing this software. It is very well done and a great support for our teaching. The students likes it very much.
The game is easy and very userfriendly. It shows in an excellent way the coordination problems of supply chains, especialy bullwhip effect. I strongly recommend this game. Best regards.
Innovation Accelerator is an organisation which is developing skills for SMEs in the Chemical Process sector. As part of our developing skills programme we are helping school children (16-18) develop an understanding of industry and commerce. The Beer Game looks highly interesting, and a colleague recommended the MIT game some time back. We would be running the game at 3-4 local schools as part of an overall Skills in Science programme.
The best game that I played with my students. Now, they understand much better "bullwhip-effect". Thank you so much for your materials. Michael You
Now we have played the game and I´m very pleased with it. Everything worked very smoth and well. Not a single technical problem. The students also liked it very much and I think "the message" reached them. At the end of the game it resulted in all sorts of discussions on the theme "What could we have done different?" Thanks from Logistikprogrammet Sweden
Hallo Herr Dr. Riemer, Ihre Vorlesung in Liechtenstein hat uns richtig gut gefallen! Und das BeerGame war definitiv das Highlight des Semesters :-) viele Grüße, Markus Heck
